Any 3d or just not this 3d ?

That sounds about right. I am sure I may accidently see a few sunrises by getting absorbed in the project. I'll have to look back up and see what filaments people recommended. I am sure it was stated. And a big box huh. I can't just put it all on shelves for the cats to knock down?
Not necessarily a big box. Definitely need a box though. My robot print was spot on except where it was complicated. Then it's random spewing of filament and the whole thing went nuts.

I have no idea why it failed. It was just a print to make my greedy happy. Oh well. It's not worth pursuing and perfecting. I'll just find something else to print! :)

I did a 16 hour stress test of a latticed bust. Honestly I'm impressed with it. I can count the strings on one hand. I think that's saying a lot, considering how complicated the print is.

The texture of the bust is rough, though. I've read that acetone can smooth that out. Is that true, and how do I apply it? Wouldn't it just melt the plastic?

My next print was an X-mount for our brushless motors. Pretty standard and pretty handy. I'm still trying to get that one off the bed. :)

Then I wanted to print another figurine. This is what I got. :(

I was printing at .16 with 20% infill and had adhesion and supports enabled. Anybody got an idea what happened?

Looks like the nozzle may have knocked over one or more of the towers during a move to start another layer or between towers. you may try to enable z-hop. (see below) Or you could try to print the model on a raft instead of using a brim or skirt. the raft will hold the base to the build plate better.
