Any way to minimize the "louvered blinds" effect when recording through a prop?

Well, I did solve me problem with the louvered effect. I landed the plane it was attached to in the surf of the Atlantic Ocean. Dead camera = no more propeller/video issues!

Yeah- I think you are not supposed to do that.
Sorry I wasn't there to remind you not to land in that location.
Maybe you should add a checklist item to your preflight.

Check out the CTH Albatross or Storm Chaser. Both can be built with a power pod above the wing to allow a GoPro or other camera to be mounted on the nose. No more prop in the picture ;)

Thanks, Ninja. I'll look into that idea. My winter project won't be an issue, though. I'm planning on getting started on thinking about maybe scratch building a 60" wingspan Grumman Goose! No timeline on this one. I've given up on deadlines.

You'll get prop effects with the GoPro as well. If this was CSI you'd just click on the prop, hit a few buttons and the prop would disappear revealing the killers license plate in clear detail from a quarter of a mile away.

But YOU'LL just have to move the camera.
