Crawford Bros. Aeroplanes

Valuehobby! They're based out of Illinois. They sell dirt cheap planes and electronics, sure the planes aren't extremely high quality, but they look and fly nice!
I buy the majority of my components from them, some of their motors have been a bit hit-or-miss but the prices are awesome.

@FlyerInStyle Amazon is ok? 😳 I feel guilty for using such an evil corporate monster. Guilty, and angry that such monopolies exist and I'm forced to use them or go without... same with Google(youtube)

Getting dangerously close to politics but i feel like rational people on both sides see the dangers of "Corporataucracy"
This isn't the first time big corporations have been a problem, remember Rockefeller? Vanderbilt? It'll all come tumbling down eventually.

I have decent luck with Aliexpress , Bangood , Amazon and HK. Now with Amazon remember they have 3rd party dealers and gougers so always double check pricing, loads of time their price can be twice as much compared to other sites. Also some items even though you are ordering through Amazon it is coming from China so expect that long wait for delivery.

At what point do you start telling people your plane is made of Packaging tape and foam board instead of foam board and packaging tape!:p been doing some mods on my F22, moved the servos to the back of the plane so I can mount a camera up front

I live about 40 min from the VH warehouse. I have bought lots and lots of stuff form because it is so convenient to go and pick it up. I can say that their Elite balsa planes are of very good quality for the price. I am also a big fan of their power HD MG and the GForce series servos and brushless motors. The tiny HD 44 are just amazing for torque and speed for such a tiny servo. The Tower Pro MG 90and MG 92 are probably the best 9g servos for $6-$7 range and I can't say enough good things about the Power HD LF 13 and 20 servos. The best part is that they take cash for warehouse pick ups. This way my wife doesn't see what I am spending when it is not on a credit card. The big 77" and110" Rascal are my favorites in my fleet. I did re cover it the 110 in Oratex fabric.

For esc's I've had really good luck with the $3 40a aliexpress ones. They usually arrive within a month and work really really well. They are pretty much perfect for most of my foamboard planes and the price is beyond perfect.
yep i bought one of those....
have you ever had it when you inch the throttle up the motor starts jerking and then after about 30 seconds it gradually slows down. to about 1/4 throttle?
if so what could it be?

Umm... It's a 3$ ESC, you can't expect it to perform like a castle. There are bound to be issues and defects at that price. If it has happened on other ones there might be a problem with your setup but, if it's just that one, it's probably just a lemon.
Or @The Hangar took all the good ones!:ROFLMAO:
