Anybody else scratch building tonight?

I'd go for the 3.3 for 3D flying. Technically it should be lighter and it has a higher C rating.
I was thinking that but, that battery is pretty tired and I'm not sure how it would handle 3d. The weight difference is negligible between the 3.3 and the 3.6 but only testing will tell witch one is better.

Hoping to progress with the Sea Otter tonight. Pontoon and aileron servo installation is my next priority, I managed to finish the tail section while I was off.
Didn't fetch any push rod connectors with me so won't be able to progress as much as I wanted. Plus the elevator pushrod connector is damaged so also needs replacing tomorrow.
Leaving the motor pod installation to near the end, not decided yet where to fit the receiver.

I finished 99% of the airframe. Made some modifications too. I beefed up the firewall by @IanT's recommendation, made the cowel removable and added a guide for the carbon rod that holds the Hatch on. I'm going to be either carving the canopy out of pink foam or using a wrecked arf canopy. I can't wait to get it in the air!

I totaled my blue cub in the worst way possible. Basically I had crashed this one at least 20 times, and it was a flying piece of junk. So this time I forgot to check my CRAP and turns out that my ailerons were reversed :(. When it was in the air and I had to turn, I was shocked because the ailerons were going the wrong way, and long story short, 30 seconds later, it crashed because of aileron reversal, and is totally dead now.

RIP blue cub! Did you get it on video? Been there, but reversed elevator - made for a short flight for sure! CRAP

NO i didnt get it on video but Ill try to record future flights (crashes).
I myself had a beautiful 'flight' that culminated in my scout kissing the goal post at the local middle school football field. It came down in a flutter of foam board, and me and my 9 year old laughed all the way across the field to retrieve the pieces worth picking up. I wish I would have had video to display the carnage, but alas, no:cry:. And before anyone asks, I've answered it around here enough times - "No, I didn't make the extra point"...:ROFLMAO:

I had a fruitful day and have virtually finished building the Sea Otter, all control surfaces are now fully operational. The motor pod and motor/ESC are installed, battery bay fitted, receiver secured inside the plane.
All that's left to do now is find a good way to secure the cock pit whilst its in flight, balance the plane ie CG and paint it.
I couldn't resist, when the motor was installed I had to try it out on the dinning room floor skidding around :):):):). Glad I went for the Emax XA2212 1000Kv motor, its got plenty of power with an 8X6 prop. I believe the weather is improving next week again so will be taking it to the club for a maiden flight.
Finally decided I am building another F22, after last weeks fun I want another. Just 2 pieces of foamboard left which should be just enough to build a 2nd F22 plane for May and rebuild a new nose for the old one.
I also received the last of my bumper order for April today, my new FRsky mini Lipo voltage sensor arrived so need to think about which plane to put it in.

Think I will order at least one more box of foam next month, as I want another Spitfire and a Scout for myself, which I am painting in British colours and decals, so I can dog fight with my son. I also promised to build a plane for my grandson to learn with, so may build a 3rd Scout 3ch and a Tiny trainer to get him started.
