The ugly duckling is molting…

also if you look at the wing on the right, you can see where the momma bird in our garage left a nice little present, that basically, i scraped off as much as i could, and now just going to paint over🤷‍♂️ what are you gonna do?

'bird poop brings down airplane' news at six
That will be tomorrow’s headline when she maidens. Ill try to take a video but i am a one man show with no go-pro. I’ll figure something out. So her is the Swedish Duck. When i finished the paint scheme, i went “wait, I think that’s a flag” 🤷‍♂️🤣.

Yup, David Windestal would be proud. 🤣

Well, she flies like a dream. I have some barely passable footage i need to edit and I’ll let y’all know when it’s ready. But here is what i can say about the sea duck. First off, FT, you guys nailed it. B) type c radials with 9x4.5x3 master airscrews and a 4S 3300mah battery is awesome! I was worried the battery was going to be a little heavy but it has plenty of extra lift. I did add a little vertical reinforcement under the battery tray. that extra weight just helps it settle in solidly for that final approach and touch down. Because she is never going to be a ”wet” duck, (she just does “wet” work for the alphabets. CIA, NSA, etc.) I am removing pontoons and refitting and rearming. I am adding some hard points with 3d printed hellfire missiles and hydra rocket pods. She is going to be the CAS “Hell Duck” for when the Marines hit the beach and the enemy suddenly realized they should have gotten Aflac.

Avion Rapide plans was found on a copied bookpage that was dated March 1936, it was the time when the first radio systems came up in the second half of the 1930s First successful flights were undertaken in Great Britain and Germany.
There are rumors or speculation that the Avion Rapide was made by Maurice Lartigue to carry postage on a French island.
The wish came up to rebuild this plane by the plans, by finder Matthias Moeller, with some changes who were made to recreate an Avion that will fly perfectly. The wingprofile changed to a laminar profile, a minor changed form of the rudder, and wingforms slightly optimized, in intension to keep the complete original character.
,… Some flightvideo of the Mattias´s "refined" build:

Ive built it by foamboards, and a minor use of plywood, strengthen by carbontubes in body and wings. Wingspan: 1800mm,
Length: 1550mm .
Oohhh, I love love love that design!

I've been considering making the original design in balsa. I have a problem with nosing over my tail draggers on landings, this would sure solve that!

Take off the landing gear, and you’ve got……. A hotliner.

Update: I built the FT P-40 a while ago, and decided that I was ready for a Master Series plane, of course, the FT Corsair (I also have a friend who hates that all my builds look boxy). I had everything ready, even the electronics, until I saw the Wooden Spar. Does it HAVE to be wood or can I just use reinforced Foamboard?

If you don’t do any high G’ maneuvers. You should be good. I would personally still use a bunch of popsicle sticks though. 👍

Guys, how smart would it be to modify the nnF-16 chuck glider to work with the FT EZ power pack!
It can be done. I did that a few years ago. I think it was around the same time a lot of us were experimenting with EZ packs. It didn't look great because I just taped everything on to it. I think I had to cut a slot in the wing for the board to fit. Added a 1mm deep score cut to adjust the elevators up a bit.
With the extra power of the latest V2 EZ pack you might be able to make it a tiny bit larger.

Hmmm.....Just be VERY careful on your landings!

Yo guys, my FT EZ Power Pack doesn't work! 🥺 It always yaws left (or was it right) for no absolute reason. On tests, it works fine, but when I actually put it on a plane, well. Nope. Also, building the Corsair has been a pain and its coming out with the same quality as my first build. But it's turning out fine (enough), and looks beautiful (sadly I painted the fuselage wrong and now it's all wrinkled, but I can solve that, but, EXTRA WEIGHT). Alos, last time I flew, all my flights ended in disaster. The P-40's Power Pack flew off when I finally got it in the air and lost my E-Flite T-28 1.1m that I had just painted like the OG Parkzone one in a River. I discovered that I did something wrong: I didn't have a Throw-Around plane to have fun with when things go VERY wrong, so after building the Corsair, I might build an FT-22 or some other Prop-Slot jet like the F-18.
