Everybody has heard of a "barn find". The story is you find a rare vehicle in an old barn and buy it for little or nothing. Same deal here but with a different vehicle. My buddy finds all kinds of orphan planes and this one was a throw away. Plug cut off the ESC, no information on what kind of receiver, if any, and how to access it. Fortunately, Youtube has enough videos that you can probably find out anything.

After that it was just like building any plane. New receiver, new ESC and assigning channels and creating the necessary mixes.

Here's my "barn find" which I dedicate to Mr. NCT who shared his foam board design of the same plane some time back.
Thanks for the plug! If that's an e flight keep on your toes when you're flying it. I was really excited when I found one but... long story short, it's now hanging from the ceiling.

Minwax my Scout this evening. That was an adventure. The tail skid began to come off the plane. Try to fix it, but forgot that the hot glue won't stick to the minwaxed paper. Had to peel back the paper, used hot glue to seal the edges and exposed foam, then glued the skip back on. Seems to be fixed now.

Not much but can still feel it.

I was wondering if it was actually going to be worth it. However, I just took a look at it, and it does seem a little more durable.

I hope to go out flying Sunday morning (next good flying window). I'm sure the grass we be wet with dew, so we'll see how that goes...

Yeah, if you are going to fly in dew, minwaxing really helps!

That's why I wanted to minwax it. I'm going t TRY to keep it on the runway. But it is narrow and I'm still learning.

Oh, I also adjusted the left wheel collar. The left wheel was not spinning as smoothly as the right. I'm hoping that's what is making it pull to the left on takeoff and landings.
