Anybody else scratch building tonight?

That's either an F-16 or a MIL-24.

I got here too late. Recognized that kink in the intake -to-delta transition immediately. Sweet! Posting plans when done? Power train?
I will try my best to post the plans but I honestly have no idea if it will fly. I might have to scale up the wings. If it does fly, it is going to be a rocket, considering that the fan barely fits in the fuselage. Also, the intakes might be too small.

here are the unfinished plans if anybody want to try building it or scaling it up. you will need to scale it up if you want to use an edf.

I’d say the intakes are definitely too small. But that’s fine - you can cut a cheat hole underneath or on top. Here’s a couple of examples - these are commercial balsa kit designs and they use cheat holes to get enough performance out of the fan.

Introducing the EZ Punjet. It's a thing...

Will work on some plans to get this up to EZ spec.
Some notes though: I experimented with the v2 props after one v1 prop randomly broke mid-flight, and I must say, they blow the v1's out of the water. Much, MUCH quieter and the performance is markedly better, too.

If you still have some v1 power packs lying about, do yourself a solid and swap out the props with at least the v2's.

On a different side-note, I purchased some 8520 coreless motors from Amazon and although they don't fit into the EZ motor mounts, I chucked them into an EZ Sparrow and wow, the performance is also absolutely crazy. Now I'm just waiting on some Gemfan props to see if they can make it fly even better... Watch this space.

Update to my last post:

It definitely helped, but needed to be secured better. But it also caused other problems with there was now a smaller area for the air to flow through because it still could get through, just not as well. So there was also the reduced cooling.
To combat the latter, I’ll dam the whole area, but add some air channels to cool the motor and esc. And maybe run it less at full throttle.
