Anyone from Northern Michigan?

I live on the outskirts of Grand Traverse County, near Kalkaska. Anyone else live in the area? I would like to find some people close to fly with and maybe learn something from.

I live in the Lansing area, although you are probably a much more competent flier than I am (I'm 13 and I've been flying rc for 2 years only on calm days in the summer).

I haven't actually started flying yet, I hope to get my Old Fogey in the air in a couple days. Lansing is a little far for me, (about 2 hours drive) I'm hoping to find someone closer in distance and age (I'm 36). I don't yet know where any of the R/C events are but maybe some day Ill see you at one.
