Apple Pie, just a FYI. I believe the plan is missing one of the tail skin F-13. I will try to make one to fit.
Thanks for the great plane again. It's coming along, have to order some more servos and ESC.
Will be updating the build.
Rats, sorry about the missing fuselage skin. I had to re-cut a lot of parts building the prototype and I must have screwed up creating the page layouts for cutting afterwards. Unfortunately I don't have access to the computer I have the design files on until early September. As you discover more issues, and I bet you will :), post them here and I'll make all the necessary updates when I can get back on my computer.

Good luck getting it out the front door when you are finished :ROFLMAO:
I have a suggestion to make regarding the horizontal stabilizer. It needs a wooden reinforcement piece across the top or bottom, it doesn't appear to be strong enough to take a hit without one (I'm making that modification to mine shortly). I'm thinking of burying a couple of BBQ skewers inside the foam like the MS Spitfire or P51 builds use.
Love the elevator servo idea you have.

It's all good, I be able to made one fit after many trail and error. Using computer to design is out of my league.

Thanks. I will probably add carbon fiber strip into the stabilizer. And maybe BBQ skewer on the leading edge.

Apple Pie,
Where did you mount your battery on the plane? And have you settle the CG location on your setup?
I mounted the battery in the cockpit, accessed from a hole cut in the former at the back of the cockpit. I'll try to post a picture of it today. I use a 3S 5000 battery which needs to be all the way forward (to the front of the windscreen) to balance perfectly. Next time I set it up I'll check the CG on the wing and let you know. In hind sight it would probably have been a better design to have a removable nose section that can house the battery at a variety of different locations depending on battery size. I suspect it would be tail heavy the way i have done it if i had to use a smaller battery. Either way, it would be helpful to finalize the battery location and access hole before closing in the cockpit. The huge elevator surfaces give this plane a ton of pitch control so a little off on the CG won't matter much all in all.

Thanks for the info. I will look into the removable nose cone. Still waiting on the servoless retracts before I can finish the wings up. If possible, when you have time. Can you show how your wings are mounted please? Much appreciated, thanks.

I built a plywood base that is glued to the fuselage main box section. It has verticals that allow the wing to drop between. Held in by four 1/8” wire pins. Battery compartment hole shown as well

Some update pictures, it's coming along. Retracts in, mounted the motors. Made brackets to attach wing to fuselage.

looks great! I see the printer filament in the background. Have you printed anything for this build or are you planning to use any?
Thanks! I was looking to print some canopy and turrets, but I didn't find anything on Thingiverse. I am not good at designing. So nothing for now.
