Are all ESCs the same?

I want to build a monster airplane like Josh and David, but I cannot find the same motors and esc used for the spitfire. However I think I found something comparable. My question is, the esc below seems too good to be true for the price. Am I looking at the wrong kind of esc for the application? I am planning on running a UBEC as well just in case.

Not all are equal. Regarding your selection on Amazon, If it were me, I would read the reviews and then run away

I read the reviews and for the esc the news is bad.the reviews don't look good.says it fails after 2-3 seconds i wouldn't take the risk.also it seems to cheap.Furthermore it says the constant current input is 80a so i guess u should go for a esc above that rating of 80a.The motor seems fine.

I researched some esc's that were high quality here are my top picks all of them are 100a so u can be sure nothing fails as it will provide more than sufficent current.

Wake up! Time to fly!
I think you may want to rethink your motor choice as well. That motor is designed for land based use like in cars or more specifically powered skate boards. The shaft normally sticks out the can side for aircraft not the base plate that holds the stater. That would have to mount on the inside of the firewall thus making available shaft to hold a prop assembly much shorter.
