The latest versions of cleanflight syncs the control loops to the incoming Gyro data (gyro_sync), bypassing the "looptime" parameter all together. you can force it to be faster/slower by disabling gyro_sync, but if you don't have a fast-enough control board and you know what you're doing you'll likely make the performance worse.
Leave the loop time alone and focus tuning the PIDs. you'll see the greatest improvements there.
