Just realized my new AR620 won't work with the Aura 5 lite. Which particular Spektrum rcvrs are compatible. I searched Flite Test store for a serial one and a reviewer said nope....

It's my understanding that it needs a satellite receiver like this one: https://store.flitetest.com/spektrum-rc-dsmx-remote-satellite-receiver-spm9745/p753880
I started with an SPM4650 because it looked like the satellite receiver that I had seen in some FT videos that showed the aura 5 lite setup. Turns out the 4650 has a 4 conductor cable and pin pin connector, even though it only uses 3 connections. So I ordered an SPM9745 also. Before I give up on the 4650, I will try to solder a 3 pin cable directly to the board and see if it works. But I‘m pretty sure the 9745 will be a plug and play solution.
These are the first R/C’s I have built in 20 years so I’m starting with the quick build Storch, but have also printed the Eclipson model A. I’m looking forward to getting back into flying models and hope to get my kids hooked too!
