Help! Aura disconnects when selecting firmware update or aura convert.

I have installed the Aura Config Tool. When I connect my board and open read from aura, I cannot update the software or convert aura from the tools menu. When I select either one of these options, the aura board disconnects. Is the board bad? Thanks.

Have you rebooted the machine since installing the configurator? have tou tried a different USB cable? Have you tried a different USB port on your computer?

Litter Bug, I tried all the suggestions and there is no change. Has the ability to change from 3 axis to 6 axis gyro been removed? I thought that when you entered the quick change mode (bind and trim together), you could push the bind button to change gyro modes. After my Aura 5 is powered up, and I tilt the airplane in all three axis the control surfaces move very little. There is no safe mode.

It's done with an RC channel.

The default is for channel 5 to select the flight mode.

I would reach out to Flex Innovation support. They build the boards and supply the firmware for the Aura boards in partnership with FliteTest.
