Most of the vids pertaining to this flight controller on YT are five years old & I still can't find the answer to my issue in 2025. There is no "Text Gen" mode in my telemetry function in my tx, therefore, I can't continue set up for my Super Scout XL. Unless, there's a different term for it now in the updated NX or IX Spektrums? I'm using my Spektrum NX10+ with a brand new Spektrum SRXL2 DSMX remote sat receiver & I bought the one with the connector preinstalled & shrunk. I switched the cable that still maintains the mini plug to fit the actual SRXL2 & the other end has the Futaba style standard three pin connector for Port B on the Aura board. Your thoughts or fixes for this? Thanks.

Hello; There are a few FT Aura 5 Lite videos on YT. The last one is likely the one you want. The "Text Gen" is not that important. You can configure the Aura using a USB cable that came with the Aura and a Windows laptop. The Text Gen requires a recent Firmware update to the Aura board and usually a upgrade to the Config Tool. Best to do both in either case.

One last tip. You are using the receiver as a serial receiver, so you need to power on the receiver while pressing the bind button. You need three hands to do this OR make a power switch to turn on the power while pressing the bind button.

I use the Aura 5 Lite with a Spektrum serial receiver SPM4650 or the older one whose number escapes me at the moment.

I'm pretty sure I have figured it out a couple of days ago. The NX10+ has the telemetry "code" in the scroll wheel in a different section than what's in the five year old FT vids from Josh using his DX9. My tx set up with the SRXL2 (needs an update depending on when you purchased it) makes the "Text Gen" feature obsolete as it's explained/taught in the old vids. So, that to say I need nothing more to do than download the Scout XL file & I'm good to go after double checking that the plane is operating as it's programed in the file.
