I have the Spectrum Avian 120 amp speed controller. I did see a video by spectrum. But the guy was not very specific. If you need to set up a throttle curve also. So do you use forward programming? It looks like you don't ?Looks like you use the computer to set up the governor?? I don't need idle up one and idle up two, it's a scale helicopter running a head speed of 1300 I just need a governor to run at that RPM that's all.
I cannot seem to find a specific video that goes through the whole process. Can anybody help me here.
Thanks

Speed controls do not generally have a govenor since they regulate current only which  TENDS to regulate speed. There is no overspeed control except for Ohm's law because it requires a feedback controller and is advertised as such.

Normally not an issue for +/- rpm control of up to 5 percentage

One suggestion is call the distributer and talk to a Avian rep. Other than that go over to the heli sites or RC groups.

Don't know if you are in competition, solved my problem in nitro days by taking a Futaba governor and a spare channel where I set up a mix controlled by a transmitter pot so we could account for temp, humidity and altitude of the gas engine. That way the acrobatic speed channel pot allowed us to change rpm's for mountain or sea level, spring, summer or fall temps without going into the heli to reset the RPM's. Last maneuver is auto with engine off. Nice when you add speed up before engine is killed.

Yours is electric, might allow it to smoothen out the blade thrust with a slight pot change of the 1300 RPM's. Started off with the Cricket where we didn't even have a gyro. Maybe your's can be done when you ask the rep.
