AXN Floater Jet.

Ok. this is a great plane.*
I have some problems though.
The ailerons are so anemic I'm scared to fly it.
The wings popped loose 4 times, even with extreme tape.
It tip stalls and drops a wing at low speeds, resulting in very bad landings.
The rudder can only be used with full over aileron in the same direction.
What I love: Nicds, NiMh, and two cell 1650's were great.
It's soooo Fast with the wind.
It glides F O R E V E R .
Hawks Like it.
Has anyone had experience with either clipping the wing, or building a new one sans polyhedral?
I flew into our club's radio frequency building because I couldn't turn at all with the wind.
Thanks,
Foam.

Rather than create a new thread I thought I'd post here. The above describes to a T the issues I've been having with my AXN Floater. The drop of wings and tip stall at low speed, i the inability to turn once it starts surfing the wind front, and just the general non-linear response from the control when flying in the wind. The only suggestion I received was to add a little rudder into the aileron mix. Any other pointers I should be aware of?

I solved the turning issues by mixing 100% rudder to elevator, then I clipped the wings, and that was almost perfect. Glue the wings in, RUBBERBAND THE CANOPY ON. I lost the plane and 4 2200s doing inverted without the canopy rubberband.

Woah, full circle.
Yesterday my neighbor ordered an AXN to build and fly and I came back to this thread for some stashed info.

All I can say is, "I was a Noob!" :black_eyed:

Hopefully his AXN will last longer than mine did!
