Rockyboy your order is ready. Well almost. I still have to go back and format all of these for printing. Send me a PM with your email so I can send you the PDF when I'm done. I have been formating these into 6 11X17 PDFs. I recommend Staples to have them printed. Also be sure to bring a ruler with you when you pick them up and check the scale on each sheet for accuracy.

Flitefest is going to be awesome. I need to decide If I want an allied themed Baron, or if I should do my own thing. What's the most appropriate gaggle? A mix of planes, or everything the same?

I think having a the common elements be the WWI (1916-1918 ish) physical lines will awesome - they don't all have to be the exact same plane, but all drawing from the same period for the shape. And having almost every plane be a unique color scheme - so long as again, it's drawing from period paint jobs.

Then not only for us flyers, but all the bystanders get to see something new and exciting with each plane, while still recognizing them as all being "together" through the shapes. And everyone can talk about which one they like best, and "oohh - but that one has this awesome markings" and "the wing sweep on this is so cool".

Just my 2 cents :)

The fact that this is all being entirely community driven is the really cool part for me.

+1 lots of fun to be a part of, and really looking forward to FTFF now. This will be my very first RC event, and going there to be a part of something so fun and creative is very cool. :)

Ok, cool. That's kinda what I figured, but wasn't quite sure what you all meant by dawn patrol. I'll probably build a Sopwith Baby for this flight then. WWI planes can't get much simpler to design and build.

Carried on the back of Rasterize. I would have offered to help him already, but I'm distracted with other projects and he's really cranking them out right now. I may be able to help in a couple days though if it's needed. If I don't get the Devastator done soon Dan may try and bomb my house with his newly designed plane.

Thanks LF! I think I have it. So far they haven't really thrown me anything I can't handle. ;)
We want Sponz to be happy so we can get a Baby Brit out of him soon! :D

I will get you the "beta" DXF files tonight. I'm pretty sure that this design will fly almost identical the the Baby Baron, but I need to build/fly one to make sure.

Need to know what the consensus is for the name of this little allied plane. Your choices are:
  1. Mini RAF
  2. Baby Brit
  3. ?

I'll have final say in the name, but I'm interested in public opinion. ;)

Looks SWEET Dan. Love the tail shapes. They are perfect. And the way the fuselage swoops is a nice transitional touch.
