What does a Beta Kit mean? It simply means that you will receive one of the first production kits off the assembly line. While we have done a lot of work to bring this particular kit to market, there may (or may not!) be very, very minor error(s) in certain cut parts. Nothing a touch of sanding or shave of a hobby knife won't fix. There will be minimal instructions included with the Beta kits. We depend on our Beta kit builders to ask us questions and point out things that would be helpful in build instructions and to suggest improvements or options in full production kits. For this help we give you a significant discount off of what would be normal price.

Wingspan: 30" or 27" Clipped
Wing Chord 5.75"
Wing Area: 172.5 - 30" wing and 155.25 - 27" clipped wing
Fuselage length from front of fuselage to tip of rudder: 18.375"
Flying Weight Brushless or Glow: 5.0-6 ounces.
Wing Loading:4.17 oz/sq ft to 5.57 oz/sq ft.
Wing CUBE Loading: 3.8 to 5.4

You can never have enough Cubs! I've got at least 3 of them in 1/4 scale, a couple Parkzone Super Cubs, an old Black Hawk Models in approx 1/6 scale, and I think there is another one somewhere in the mix. More, more more!!

Rockyboy, you can update the first post in this thread for my build choice now. The Cub isn't on the main page, it's on the kits page, FYI if anybody is looking for it. I've got mine ordered with the covering now, and am looking forward to getting it going.

I had a motor, ESC, and servos saved from another plane that died a few years ago, it'll be nice to recycle the bits.

Doug, What size wheels do you think would be best on the Eaglet? I've already got the kit and motor in my cart. I don't have many wheels this small.

Hey Joe,

As small as 1.25" for pavement, but up to 1.75" for everything else. The Cub has 1.75" on it in the pictures above for a visual idea. Cub and Eaglet are almost identical in size.

Thanks Doug. I just placed my order. I had to have one of the "PeeWee" mounts to go with it. Also got a couple of covering packs. I wanted to give them a try too. I'm guessing it'll all be shipped at the same time when the kit is ready. I can wait for the other parts.
