My hero!Is it too late to join up?...... I just tripped over this thread, I saw a previous thread and promised myself I would join the next one.

Not sure yet, I like the Jr. Falcon 250, Eaglet 250 and the Ace GLH 250 looks like a lot of fun...
This would be my first Balsa kit (excepting a couple guillows kits as a teenager...) But the kits do seems to be pretty close to complexity throughout the range, it might just be cosmetics or flying traits.
Any advise would be appreciated!
GLH it is!
Especially after watching this video!
It almost stopped in midair then shot off like a rocket... (Looks like a LOT of fun!)
I will need some help with covering.... I have an iron (bought it for ironing foamboard...) but no experience.
I like the yellow and white scheme on the website... would you split the covering down the middle, or layer the yellow on top?
And the black, is that tape (pin-striping) or covering cut thin?
Also, i expect that to cover the fuselage you would do it in 4 pieces (top, bottom, left, right) with the seams at the corners?....
(I'll save all the other questions I'm bound to have for my build thread.)
Maybe there's a good covering tutorial video on youtube someone could suggest?
I have an old A-pack 1806 and a 2S tattu 650mah battery from a tiny trainer. Would this combo work in the Jr Falcon 250? or any of the other willy Nillies planes?

Awesome thanks!Welcome aboard!
You're on the right track with the covering - 4 pieces for the fuselage (or 6 in this case splitting the sides) - do the bottom piece first and then work your way up the sides and top last - that way the overlaps point downward and you won't see them. The black could be pinstriping or thin strip of covering - I've done both methods and they work just fine as long as it's the same type of covering (overlapping heavy & light weight or high & low temp coverings aren't easy).
There are lots of great tips on doing balsa planes over here:

Awesome thanks!
I’m on the road this week so it gives me time to read up!!
In the meantime, order was placed today for my GLH! (Added servos and a motor).
Pretty excited to give balsa a go and see what all the fuss is about.![]()
I just thought about something @Turbojoe . Your nose gear mount is really cool, but if it breaks off on a hard landing isn’t there a chance of the gear leg going through the top of the fuselage?
That's a great looking little park flyer.A little progress made on our company display/demo J3-Cub 250.
What's next? The Eaglet? (hoping, hoping, hoping...)50 Cub kits ready to go! Becky is a wonderful kit bagger!
