A couple of weeks back I posted the maiden of my garage sale £25 ME 109. It flew well straight from my hand, until I stalled it and crashed. It fell apart and needed a lot of regluing but I was pretty confident the remaiden would be a success. It was far from that.
And it wasn't a CG problem. CG is spot on the marks, and the original maiden was good. I discovered the cause afterwards!
