Bat bone tri 370 questions

Hello all,

I'm trying out the FT bat bone tri 370 and I have a few questions about the build. I'm not sure if there is another forum on here that I can refer to so I'll just go ahead and ask my question until I hear otherwise.

1. Where is good place mount the KK2.0 board on the Bat Bone Frame? How do you mount it?

2. I am using these motors and I believe FT suggests a motor that is a couple of grams lighter why, and will I have problems?

3. Many people are using SimonK flashed ESCs, but I'm going to use these. Is there a problem with what I'm using?

4. Is there anything special that I have to do with my ESCs prior to flying(ie remove the positive lead from the molex connector, or hook up a programming card to them to change the programming)?

Thank you,

i can't remember but i think ft recommended 1300kv blue wonders, which work great with 8" props, and a 3s battery.
to keep it simple, if your going to use those motors and a 3s battery you'll want to go with 9" props

Thanks! I crashed it about a month ago and can't seem to find replacement parts for the tilt motor mount on the flitetest store.

Navet,

looks like there's parts on the multirotor accessory page:

https://store.flitetest.com/multirotor-accessories/

with the replacement delrin for the tilt:

https://store.flitetest.com/replacement-delrin-tilt-13-370/

but . . . *if* you can wait a few weeks . . . something new is coming . . . VERY soon.

Wander over to FT Extra and you should see it in #060.

http://flitetest.com/extra

(it will ask you for a login, which is *NOT* the same account as the forum, and will ask for a donation -- give if you want to, or not, that's up to you.)

I've been looking through the online store, but I can't find the tilt motor mount. Am I looking in the wrong place? I've add a picture to illustrate one of the parts that I'm trying to replace.

I have a feeling it'll be announced tomorrow. My tricopter has been in pieces for months waiting for the tough version to come out. And then I'll wait again until it's available at great hobbies here in canada.....

Oh okay so I'm not the only one. Well I guess I can wait for the "Tough Stuff". So how did you guys know about the upcoming version. Is the newer version only going to be the motor mounts and tilt mechanism or the whole frame too?
