Hi all

I have a couple of the low voltage alarms, the sort that plug into the balance lead and have a couple of loud sounders and LCD displays.

The version I have has the ability to set the alarm voltage so with Low end Turnigy LiPo packs what's a safe discharge voltage to set, they came set at 2.5v buts what's the safest volt setting to use.

Thanks

Paul

It depends a bit what you are flying and the current it draws but 2.5v is too low. 2.7v is generally the lowest a lipo should be allowed to go and you should set the alarm between 3.2v and 3.5v. That should give you reasonable warning. You can experiment from there as to whether you can set it a little lower if you want the warning later. It's just a warning to you to land so you want to leave your battery in good shape.
