Beginner FPV multi-rotor help

Hello. I am looking into getting a quad-copter and flying FPV but I am a little confused. I am thinking about getting the quad from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKz6KVGrjmI) and modifying it to do FPV with the camera setup from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt6kYWbMQIM). I am trying to find a receiver that would work with mini FPV setup for cheap. What receiver would you recommend. How would I set up the receiver with the camera? Do you know a cheaper alternative to the camera used in the micro FPV video. Thanks.

Ok the camera will have three wires (signal, +, -). Signal is usually yellow ( there is also audio which would be the white wire) this is put into what ever the video in is for the receiver you choose. Power is simply give it the voltage it requires and ground.

RcTimer has a pretty impressive package with decent enclosed card cam and acceptable Vtx for under $27.

Thanks for the response. Would the Elgae fpv camera setup work well with this receiver (http://www.rctimer.com/product-1129.html). Also, would it be good to purchase a wide angle lens for the camera.

Oh yes. I have modded the wiring and have that receiver strapped to the side of the cheap foam HK goggles. However, be aware the receiver's antenna socket is opposite of the Fatshark goggles. You have to get a spiral antenna without the center pin.

i too am starting to collect parts for FPV, i can not afford fatsharks.. so i too went with hobbyking cheapies. this is version 2 tho.. i guess they got the idea from guys like cyberD.

seems to have some upgrades from the originals.. i originally was gonna upgrade the screen but it seems they have done that too. this will be the first time i have used hobbyking international, crosses fingers it works like the west coast warehouses.. as iv had zero problems with them.. but man iv read so many negative things about international nightmares I almost did not order. but i figured i need to start getting some FPV stuff as winter is coming. and i hope to get into some fpv/AP this falll.

is that center section the camera the speak of? so you can see out side of the goggles? or is that a upgrade they have added to the new ones?

here is the bit i was talking about; now i see you have to add your own micro camera.. no big deal.. sigh, my leg is hurting tonight and i cant sleep. go figure..
maybe ill try to find a movie to watch. im thinking mortal combat for some reason. laughs.
