What would you rate this bad boys flying characteristics as??

So I've built 3 of these and I'd say they are a bit unusual. The 1st one I made I was still learning to fly RC but once it was dialed in it flew great. The 2nd seemed a bit more squirely. I think I would have to attribute this to being tail heavy. The 2nd was a nerdnic style speed wing and was painted so it was a bit heavier. And the paint only added to being tail heavy. I didn't have much luck flying it. The 3rd was an updated design where I moved the wing back and made the fuselage more scale. Another change was a bottom hatch for the battery. This made swapping batteries much easier. I crashed this one on the maiden but rebuilt it and had alot of flight time with it over the summer. I think I had the CG too far back on this one for the maiden, but had room to move the batteries forward. The other thing is that I changed motor sizes after maiden since it dosent like to fly very fast. It tends to do weird things when going fast. Only difficult for me to make good landings at this point as it likes to nose over if it's not a 3 point landing. I started working on a 4th design awhile back but have not built it yet. Would you say v2 or V3 would be easier to fly?

I couldn't agree more. Definitely recommend v3 to more easily achieve CG It looks like the plans for V3 are actually in decent shape. I will try and find some pictures of the assembly as well. The motor that I am using now is a 3536 at 1260kv. When I used a 2830 at 850kv it was way underpowered. The 3548 1100KV I designed v3 for was too much. 2215 sounds small but I'm no expert in motor sizing. I also had to use a spacer when I switched motor sizes so I included the stls but you could plan ahead and just alter the power pod accordingly. Other stls are for the 3d printed cowling but I ended up just using something similar to V2 for durability although the 3d printed wheel pants are recommended. If you go with foam wheel pants like v1 be sure to reinforce them with some wood. I ended up cutting out the stub spar joiners so no need to make those. Please share your experience if you decide to build one.

👍👍,I also have a 2217 1250kv motor..
So I'll try that first.. but unfortunately I don't have a 3d printer or access to one... So I'll be building it all out of foam.
