Best Practices for Wiring ESCs

Quick question about best practices for wiring up ESCs.
I have six ESCs that I'm wiring up for a Y-6 copter.
I've decided to go with three pairs of ESCs on two layers. One pair for each arm:

I'm not sure what the best way to set up the harness for this set up would be. I

Here's a two-layer wiring configuration I'm starting out with:

Not sure if I should wire points 1a & 2a together to receive power from the battery (1b & 2b to ground) or wire the whole system in parallel or something.

I try to illustrate my ideas, but if it's not clear enough please let me know.

Thanks!

What you are planning is three ESCs wired in series and then another three escs wired in series wired in parallel with the first set of three.

That is not good. All ESCs should be wired in parallel.

You're right. Looked into that some more, thanks for the advice.
I'll post a new diagram once I've worked it a bit.

I would not place them on top of each other in case one catches on fire...
Shooting for more of a very clean minimalist design to the wiring. Good point, guess I can work out more of a dispersed arrangement though.
