I LOVE my Pinecil. Before I got it, I thought soldering was some sort of dark magic that I couldn’t master. As soon as I got net Pinecil and a roll of Kester 44, I started getting perfect solder joints almost immediately. It heats up in seconds, maintains even heat, doesn’t take up any space, and I can power it with one of my RC batteries if I need it in the field.
So I might get one then.....

I bought one of these a few years ago. It was recommended by a friend and fellow forum member. I have not regretted that purchase. It meets all my soldering needs. Even the ones I did not know I had, till I had a station capable of doing all the things this one can.
Yeah but I dont want to buy a station dont have the much space on my desk for a whole station......

Make sure to get good solder too, it makes a big difference. Get the Kester 44. Also get a tip cleaner, a simple stand for your iron, and a small tube of flux. You’ll be set for a while. Good luck!

Don't buy a cheap iron

Did Hoarder Sam do a review or just a mention? Don't see a dedicated vid for it by him.
Yeah no he just said he has been using it for a while(I watch a lot of his drone builds) and he said it has a sensor in it's tip so it react to heat changes better....I am sure it's better than my $15 cheapy from amazon but mine works and get the job done!....I good solder iron isn't going to make you good at soldering...Though it helps!

I dunno...I build drones to sell on online and all i use a $15 soldering iron and my solder jobs look beautiful! I personally would put more into the solder and flux than the iron....
