Big Scout 140% Sweet!

Looks good! I love the scout. I built a 125% mini using EA style foldings on the main fuse, the only glue on the fuse was a couple of beads on the little strip on the bottom. Both my mini and my scaled up one flew great and I could still build it mainly out of one piece of foam (and some scraps).

When I revisit the design, I will do like you, but probably try and incorporate a smooth air foil.

I use a Racerstar 2214 1000kv motor with a 2200 4s lipo and a 1260 APC prop.

Did you mean to say 2814? If yes, then the stats from Racerstar show a 12" prop on 3s, and an 11" prop on 4s.

what motor are you using?? my brother and i are building a 120% mini scout with extended wings to run on F PP and 3s 1100mah..... 6030 prop..........

No. Not a Mini Scout. It is the full sized Simple Scout scaled up 140%

If you scale up a Mini Scout it is going to turn into the Simple Scout. I think Flite Test already thought of that and kitted it.

Hey! It will work! I built a super heavy scout and she flew! Just had to go very fast to make enough lift.
