I had some bits of foamboard laying around, and found i can build a fast trainer of it.
I found a plan of a Piper Cherokee, nice plane, but this time wanted a high-wing. Well, a minor adjustment on top, and it got a highwing.
Changed resulotion to fit 27.5 inch wide wing. Easy made, one strip of foam inside as spar, 700mm wingspan, 140mm + 80mm wide wing made as easy FT builds.just "bendt over".
Fuselage was drawn up by how it looks from side, and cut out. A minor change on top for where the wing is gonna be ( removable) some formers or foamboard bits to shape the width to 35mm inside, then the minipod from FT, and a typical 1800mAh 3s will fit. Fuselage gest narrower in back. Bottom under the wing, and to front is foamboard, rest under is the paper removed from foamboard, also used on top rear, and front/ windshield of fuselage.
A fast trainerbuld in a couple hours, not a full plate of FT foamboard, and total without electronics, 175g.
Size at 700mm wingspan x 440mm length. 3 or 4 CH.
