hey guys, first time poster. been watching your videos all week. really something i want to get into. just scratch built the long ez glider

but had a thought. have you ever tried to buy a very cheap toy rc car and use the electrics from that to fly a plane.
im sure a glider could be made using the servos and trans/rec from one?

either way, keep up the good work

just realised this would be better in the show suggestion section. if a mod gets about. could it be moved. sorry ill have a better look through the forums now :)

ya, i suppose you could especially if all you want is a glider. adding a motor would still be possible, issues may be size, weight, and mounting. most cheap cars use a brushed motor which does not have the efficiency, power, or cooling ability that most brushless motors do that we use. never know until you try though.

good luck,

me

Worth a try, the big difference is Weight. Ground vehicles don't care about weight much. planes count the grams. (literally.) look at build posts, they all ask - what is the all-up-weight (AUW)?
