We actually built an RC "Flying Chair" back in November of 2016 flying an original Bixler One. Ironically we also used a mild crate as the platform, but it was to secure the transmitter so that linkages could be attached to operate the controls from the pilot seated in a PVC lawn chair. It all worked and we had a blast! We also created a "passenger section" with other members seated behind the pilot, all wearing FPV googles during the flight.
