The guys are flying the BlackOut Mini H-Quad and Mini Spider Hex in today's Let's Fly!

These multi-rotors are equipped with the Immersion RC 5.8GHz 600mW Tx. The best part was we had three of these running at the same time with no issues.

The SpiroNET Omni 5.8GHz CP Antenna has a new stiffer arm that holds it's position when adjusted. No more floppy antennas!

Josh Scott is flying the Kraken while the boys get some footage and just generally bug him in the air.
Enjoy the screenshots below!

To say the least these guys can take a beating. Any by beating we mean full throttle straight into the ground. Check out the episode to see the carnage!

We'd like to thank BlackOut for letting us beat up these amazing little quads and Immersion RC for the awesome FPV gear.

Last but not least thanks to you! You guys are the ones who allow us to do what we do, and we love you for it!

What kind of FPV challenges do you think we could pull off with these guys? Let us know!

I'd like to see you guys race these little speed demons around a course with gates to pass through. A few gates held in the air with balloons, or on top of a tree would add a cool 3rd dimension to the race course.

+1

Just make a very nice obstacle course and have some fun. Especially with the minih......the thing fits through anything :D

I would like to know the spacs on david's hex? thanks
Yeah.....can't find any description on that one.

Love these quads. Pricey but sure seem worth it. Unfortunately worth it or not I just don't see my budget accommodating one anytime soon :( Of course 3 years ago I said the same thing about any quad and with these smaller quads gaining popularity I suspect we'll see more competition entering the market and prices come down in the future.

The episode was fun, but I'd love to see a challenge with these instead of just a "let's fly". A race would be fun but an obstacle course would be even better. A bit of follow the leader at high speed through some obstacles/trees/abandoned buildings I'd love to see.

The Let's Fly's are fun...but just leave me feeling a little wanting. I think I'd prefer them if they were just used occasionally with models we've already seen on the show in more detail or if they were just tossed in as bonus episodes even if it meant lower production levels on them. The challenges/reviews/builds feel a lot more satisfying to watch - at lest for me :D

I agree with jhitesma...these are great bonus episodes (maybe Wednesday releases). It may be because it didn't go as well as planned and you were flying new craft, but I kept waiting for the content to show up (which it did in the end). The feeling of the episode wasn't as good as the last Let's Fly episode. But Josh Scott had the best day flying the Kraken!

I too was looking hard at the Blackout kits. The price is just to high for me and I don't do FPV.

I found and have ordered this:
http://polakiumengineering.org/?product=super-simple-mini-spider-hex-ss-spider-hex

There are pros and cons for each but I am VERY interested in 3D printing so I figured I'd give Adam Polak a shot.

I too would like more information on David's 4S build and specifics on what caused the quad to fail multiple times.

Great episode, these seem great for when you are busy doing other things! Seems you even shot two episodes at the same time, brilliant! It is a great way to share a product, really shows you how they fly and stuff.
I would like to know more about the repeated brownout situation. I'll watch the show again, but it seemed like it happened two or three probably like 47 times? Somewhere in that zone. Was that setup related or spektrum related? I ask because I do not want anything of mine to fall out of the sky!
