BACKGROUND
The FT Bloody Wonder was the first plane I really learned to fly RC on. It was not my first plane, but it was the first plane I had success with. For that reason it will always be special to me. I can't think of a better way to honor that than by trying to make an already great design even better. This is my...

I crashed my v2 yesterday, I was not using the FT power pack, so I just taped the battery in, I made a tight turn shortly after launch, and the battery ejected. Little damage to the plane though, it righted itself after loosing the battery.

This is the reason that I normally us HD Velcro and Put my 2200 mAh LiPo inside the power pod on my combat planes. I've ejected a battery or five in my day too.

Dumb question i know, sorry. Where do the fuselage doublers get installed? On the outside or inside of the fuse section?

Also, I built the long rudder fin version for vertical take off. Two tries and two broken props, it just lays over on its back.
Tried a hand launch and it flew great.
Combat meet this weekend.

If you put the doublers on the inside the power pod wont fit.
I put them on the outside and the power pod fits right in.
If the pod doesn't fit you may have built the pod incorrectly, perhaps with B folds instead of A folds. B folds will make the pod too wide.
EDIT: Building the fuse with the incorrect A folds would also be an issue.

Yep, that was it. Sponz sent me to go find the bloody baron build vid and now I get it. And now the diagrams make sense - they did not before.

I’ll build another one, at least my first one flies great!
