Simple is fast.
It flies really well, but the climb performance was a little sluggish. An APC “electric” 5.5x4.5 on 2S should perk it up a bit.

Will see how it performs with 2204 6x45 and 3s. Hope the weather this weekend will be good for maiden.
By the way, what do you think about a Bloody lightning with 2 engine? I have an idea how to design. It will be a one motor option like the bloody or a 2 engine with 2 1104.

Love the Bloody Lightning Idea! I’ve thought about it, but really haven’t sat down and worked it out how to do it. I think a twin is the way to go, but a Single motor setup might be an interesting option.

The idea is to get the overall dimensins. The distance between elevator and wings will be constant. The center part of the fusselage eill be shortened keeping the bloody design as short to be snle to fit the elevator servo. In the center part the normal powerpod can br used for single engine. The outer fussrlages will be same construction as the main fusselage but as small as possible to fit a 1104 motor. So maximum 20mm if using mobified powerpods or 15 mm with fixed firewalls. The ailerons will be ssm ad the bloody vought. The both outer fusselages will be cutted di that the ailerons can movo down.
The elevator will be glued to the outer fusselage. I think that could work and will look great.

Awesome! I think you have a good plan for the Bloody Lightning. I can’t wait to see it! Fixed power pods/firewalls might be a good answer to keep things narrow for twin engine.

BossBluff - working on scaling the corsair up to the regular bloody Baron size. You ok with me posting here when I’m ready? Taking some liberties with Sponz’s design by making the fuse tapered. Wing done with spar and fuse is close. Then just need to size your tail feathers and rudder to fit. It’s about 145%.

No worries. I’ll drop the ‘full sized’ Corsair tail in here by tomorrow if possible. Keep in mind placement of the rear fuselage tabs for the horizontal stab will be aft of the ones on the original.
Posting the big size plans here will be great. I think it’s on-topic and easier than chasing down multiple threads. If you WANT to open up a full-size Bloody WWII post to run parallel to this one, I wouldn’t object, but I like the idea of keeping things simple as long as it’s practical.

Here are the Standard Bloody Baron size Corsair tail feathers.
*Note: The fuselage tabs will need to be moved back a couple inches because of the modified leading edge outline. Other than that, everything else will fit without alteration. I included the original tab locations for reference.

There is a simpler more elegant solution to the rear fuselage tabs. Remove the rear tabs (2) from the fuselage and the corresponding slots (2) from the horizontal stabilizer. The tabs on the vertical stabilizer were extended and go through the fuselage to key/align everything in place. The rear fuselage tabs aren't really necessary anymore. I'm working on updating the Bloody Baron plans and will remove the (2) rear tabs from the fuse from the plans. This will also make tapering the rear of the fuselage easier.

Thanks SPONZ. Took your advice. All credit to the original designs by Sponz and BossBluff. I have finished up resizing and tapering the fuse. Took many of the sizings from the full size bloody baron plans. I basically scaled up BossBluffs PDF's by 145% and then made adjustments. This is only my second attempt at using inkscape so no promises if everything will line up fully. I will be cutting this one myself later this coming weekend to give it a try.
I need to build a test wing section as I plan to create an alternate fuse plan with the wing cutout on the bottom so more to come.
