Brand vs Brand

I am about to see the difference between using cheap no.11 blades from dollar store and Excel blades made in the USA!
Supposedly from the reviews and research I have done they last longer and are sharper than Axacto brand blades!

Yup....They don't last that long when cutting out planes.

I have found I can't cut out more than one sheet with them....

Hmm I cna understand that I once built a massive foamboard C130 and cutting up all that foam was a nightmare especially since I had one of those crappy cutters that u get from like a gas station.

Yup, investing in good blades is a luxury.

I have used my broadhead sharpener and it does a decent job but it can't beat new blades.

I have actually intentionally dulled blades, mostly the tip so it is less likely to cut through the paper on the bottom side....

Me too......But only on ones that are mostly junk anyway.

For cuts not going all the way thru I glue a razor blade to a small block set at the right depth. For 45 angles same thing block with 45 angle cut with razor blade glued to it, still need to be careful not to cut into the paper.

I just make a good guess and tape any spots I go thru...But it's very rare with a dulled tip.

Has anyone else noticed the sudden price increase in radiomaster products on amazon a 60 dollar radiomaster pocket is now 89 dollars ?? Like ay yo what.....the price of a lot of products on amazon have gone up for no reason recently.
