Bronco motor mounts

I'm building the FT Bronco. I've just found that the two matching motor mounts are, in fact, different sizes. One is about 3mm taller than the other. Has anyone any ideas why?

Not sure I completely understand your question. Are you building a kit, or building from plans? Are you talking about the plywood firewalls? Are you talking about the metal motor mount that came with your brushless motor? I need some more details. Pictures would help too.

Hmm, that is a little weird. Do you have anything that you can use to cut the longer one down? You could try scoring it over and over again with a razor blade/box cutter until you get all the way through it.

It seems to me that the long one is the right size and the short one is wrong.
I just wondered if this was deliberate and, if so, why?
If Flite Test are sending kits out like this they should be told.
I'll probably just cut out another one or 3d print one.
