Building a better mavic!

hears my idea can you build your own long range filming drone to match the performance of the mavic (ie. flight times range etc.) for cheaper then the mavic pro.
i personally would love to see if it could be done on daves tricopter. i love that design and i think the way it flys would make some amazing coast line videos. i live on the coast of newfoundland and i would love to fly with the birds over the water.

It can be done with any multi rotorcraft. Simple matter of proper tuning and set up. Just most people don't bother with the GPS and geo fencing and all the other stuff added to the Mavic or any other DJI products.

Here is an example. He is one of the best pilots in the world but also this is self designed and built using his own frame and motor designs.
