IMPORTANT! Don't forget to set you motor direction and layout before trying to raise the drone! Otherwise the drone will somersault...HARD!😂😂 (Don't ask me how I know🤣)

So I tried again with a newer battery (the one from the maiden was from 2018) and now it just flew away:eek: Well not actually but as soon as I armed it started climbing so I disarmed therefor resulting in the drone crashing down, thankfully it looks ok apart from being a little dirty. But why did it fly away?

Ok so after asking a bunch of question to Gemini AI I lowered some PID to 0.8 and then lowered the D term lowpass 1 to 75hz and D term lowpass 2 to 150hz, and I put a healthy amount of throttle expo. And now it finally feels smooth and controllable!

Yup, drones draw a tone of amps (up to 140 on a full throttle punch out!) so ya need a decent battery👍👍 And don't worry about your drone falling on on the ground...I have disarmed mine accidentally instead of hitting position hold off and it fell form like 60ft without any damage! (Worse case scenario is a broken gopro mount or arm foot thingy, but you can get those cheap all over eBay and such👍 (Or even better, get someone to 3D print you one if you don't have a 3D printer..TPU is best as it will likely never break again!)
