Help! Building my first FPV plane

I have had the best results with VAS Ion pro and Minion pro for analog. I use the crosshair extreme for a directional antenna pairsd with a minion pro on my ground station diversity receiver. VAS brand are not the cheapest but they are high quality. I use some Dipole antennas. Mostly on AIO cameras or small lightweight builds.
For digital I am currently using stock antennas but have picked up some VAS antennas to play with for better penetration through trees.

And also what type of antenna is best for the monitor?
I know I need a patch one but how many leafs (or how ever you call them) is best for the other?

It will be a bit heavier but you should have longer flight times. I've run my Night vapor that came with a 75mah on 220mah. Stupidly long flight times. LOL
I prefer something encased rather than the open leaf design. Open ones get bent and broken to easy. I use the VAS Ion pro on my ground station for omnidirectional.

I'm actually getting some very good range...I can fly around my 3 story house just fine and go in every room basically.

I had a big crash with the Simple scout... my monitor on the tripod started to fall... and my reflex was to catch it, but I stoped looking at the plane and so crashed at half throttle strait into the ground
