Building the Sea Duck!

Hey guys, not sure if this is the correct topic but here it goes! I NEED HELP... My personal challenge is to build the Sea Duck from the cartoon series Talespin. The problem is, I don't really know where to start, I did manage to find a huge amount of detail, i.e. that is, for a cartoon plane. Any help is welcome!
