It's the only motor I have. but maybe I can program a limit on my radio.

xuzume has point with the purpose of the beef. It will fly but it is going to change how it flies.
Some attributes you will gain:
1. Higher top speed.
2. Better control authority at higher air speed
Some attributes that will decrease:
1. Agility at lower speeds (high alpha control)
2. easy of take-off
Why? Because the higher kv, faster rotating and lower torque motors mean you have to use a smaller and shallower prop which will have a harder time overcoming the weight of the plane and will move less air over the control surface without significant air speed.
Don't be discouraged by that though. I am managing a fun time with my FT Flyer on a 2806 1650kv motor with a 7x4 prop and a 2200mah battery. I'm not a very experienced pilot either it's only my second plane and I've only been flying for about 2 months.

2 things to watch out for on 2S; Make sure you still have the CG right-I had to shove everything forward to get there. And you might need to increase your prop size by an inch if you are running a lower KV motor. Try what you have on there and see if it works, if not just go up an inch.

i got the blue wonder and used it in mine and threw on a 1000 3s and it is like strapping a rocket to the thing. im still trying to figure out how to stop the damn thing from climbing so violently 
but its windy here and the flyer just cant handle the wind on a 500 2s....
im not sure if i should move the CG or just put in some downthrust....
