Hey guys! My name is Pierce and I'm currently in my last year of highschool which seems to be the problem. Beginning September I will be starting my first year of university and unfortunately it is very expensive. I have been working since I was 14 and have made some decent money but I cannot afford to drop ~500$ on a quad as that money could potentially buy me textbooks in the future. I'm a complete noob to flying but hopefully once I get my transmitter I can practice everyday. I want to build a drone because I will be going into an engineering program and I'd love to get some hands on experience before I start (mainly to have fun though lol). I've been lurking many forums for a while now and I'm really interested in building an LOS drone. The part that hurts me the most is obviously the transmitter which I know I can't cheap out on. So I'm currently looking to get a qx7 for around 150$ CAD. This takes up most of my budget so I could honestly use anything else! I'm going to work extra hours over march break so hopefully I can spend some of what I make then. I'm located in Canada, sorry if that's an inconvenience to anyone.
