Control throw rates. Flip a switch, and the control surfaces can move more for better maneuverability, or aerobatics. I have it on my 3d bipe.

It makes it sensitive for just cruising and then when you flick the switch you can have it more sensitive for acrobatics ect.

Or you can go the other way: less movement because it is way too sensitive and not fun to fly. Not common but been there

Yeah I could do that I might do that for my gaint scale rc planes because I don’t like those to be to sensitive.

Bigger plane typically are a LOT less sensitive than small ones.

That isn't always true especially for foambaord airplanes in the 2m wingspan range. I like to make my planes fly the way that the full scale version would.

Like a FT Mini Mustang you have only like 1/4" throws for cruising around and a FT XL Simple Scout is like 1" (Or more for fun..)

Same here everyone crashes I dont think there Is one person in our hobby who hasn't crashed their airplane at least once.
