Sparks is an avid foam builder and his book is simply THE go-to book for any foam modeler. I've built the cartoon P-40 and its a goofy-fun looking plane AND they are cheap Cheap CHEAP!!!!!!
The modeled plastic parts are better than even parkzone or the like brands. There are replacement parts for many name-brand park-flyers.
