Must be too hard for the tiny flight controller to adjust for the weight way out on a pivot. I wonder if you could hang the sleigh and reindeer from a string and tow it?

Had two strikes against me on that flight. I had to bring it in from the car in heavy rain, so 1) it got wet and heavy, 2) It got wet and floppy. The maiden I did in the house before heading over worked better. The nice thing is, now that I know the printer can do it, it can easily be scaled down to help with the weight, or even use a completely different design with more structure, but less weight.

I think I found the original graphics you used and saw it had no color so I just started coloring in. I'm no artist and Santa came out a little weird but all in all it worked out great. I have flown it a few more times and I think it will be retired soon. The hit with the fence and a few mangled landings are starting to show some wear. But it was all worth it. The family had a blast. thanks again for the plans. I think we have a new family tradition. Now I just need to figure out how I can make it better for next year

I was thinking, instead of adding actual bells how about adding a small sound card and speaker set to loop sleigh bell sounds and maybe Santa at the end of the loop crying out "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!"
I can see this design is going to be added to my list of future builds.

Hi, I've mentioned before I'm very new to build plans and to all this ..I have a few questions. I'm looking at this amazing piece. What size / thickness of foam board did you use, how is the propellar and battery mounted? I also see a mechanism in the front of the sleigh with 2 wires connected. Could you tell me what this is, is it part of the propellar set up?It's just a simple one. Figure it's safest to start there. I'd really like to see a more complex version from the FT guys. Or maybe just a really big one. Got any foam sheets left over from the star destroyer? That would surprise the neighbors lol.
Gonna try and fly it tomorrow. It's got an A pack motor and a couple 9 gram servos from a donor plane. Gonna try a 500mah 2 cell, and if needed I'll bump it up to a 3.
