So, a little change of plans....This was getting too expensive for us and we were considering calling the whole project off then we remembered that we have about 50ft of 3/4" gas pipe from when we did some remodeling in our house a few years ago.....We are going to use that for our CnC rails as that's free and will knock about $50+ off! Also we won't need V slot wheels as I will be printing out custom wheels. So this is what I have so far with the new design:

So I have tried that, and I can tell you, it only works slightly. It is hard to make such rollers precise enough for no shake. I have taken to borrowing tolerances from airsoft balls. 3 lines of them gripping they pipe would be better I kind of planned on making something like that but with 1 1/2" for the main frame. Would you happen to want to collaborate on this?

Looks like something was shorted out if it blew that hard. Possibly hooked up wrong by the previous "tester" or hooked to bad hardware. The missing part could be a Fuse looking at the board.

Roller bearings👍 (They are a standard size and I was able to get them out of some older roller blades!)

Hopefully the bearing races still have tight tolerances and are not wiggle waggly

They are slightly😆😆but they seem like they will be fine...Thankfully it's just foamboard and doesn't have to be high precision like a CNC mill.
