yes the gremlin is a registered trademark of FT, i however doubt you will receive any grief so long as you are not profiting form the endeavor.

what version of real flight do I need to be able to fly the flite test planes, I used to use the old phoenix rc so I have never used real flight yet

Just an FYI, many of the FT planes are available for Phoenix RC too.
