Hello All, New to this forum.

Trying to select a FPV set up !!!

I have a great deal to learn !!!

My quad is a Flamewheel DIY with four NTM Prop Drive 28-26 1000KV / 315W

Nazda FC, Frysky Rx/Tx system,Simon ECS

Anyway....Trying to learn what is available for FPV!!

I really want the Connex HD system...see http://www.getfpv.com/connex-hd-video-downlink.html

....as my first choice....but the price is really high !!!

To me, this looks to be THE system to achieve zero latency. Combine this with the Headplay googles.....Looks PERFECT !!!

OK....are there ANY other products that will do what the Connex does for less cost ???

OR....as normal....one gets what one pays for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about the Dragon Link products ?? See https://www.fpvpro.com/dragon-link-v2-complete-system

There is just sooooo much to learn in this area !!! Sorry if I have not asked the correct questions, I am trying to learn as fast as I can !!!!!

Thanx, Bob

I understand your logic and sound advice. Check this out... https://youtu.be/EiRFUgYshAM

Yes, I understand it is somewhat more complicated...new...costly.....But....this is the picture quality and zero latency.....I THINK I want !! Maybe not ???

Well.....must think this thru !!! I have slid down this slope B4 !!!! Go into it with too much....and too fast can set up for frustration !!!

THAT is why I was asking about a less expensive set up. !!!

Since I have not flown FPV !!! What is the down side of a small degree of latency ????

Does the latency lag really come into play with fast moves.....I imagine that this is when it is important !!! ????just a guess !!!

If one is flying around at a slow or slower rate....say at treetop height.....or maybe max 400 feet up....then..... does latency matter less ??

I also really do not care for screen interference...at all !!! Do higher power transmitters solve this issue ?? Say 500 mW ??

I have read somewhat on the debate on frequency vs distance vs picture quality. What are the opinions on this ???

Again...much to learn !!!

Thank you in advance for tolerating my lack of understanding !!! Bob

Balu...Just saw your suggestion...Thanx....the learning curve again is seen !!!

I understand, the main thing to consider is the difference between the signals. High Def is awesome. But the signal is digital, so if there's an interruption the data becomes corrupt and you may see some "freeze" or nothing at all. Not a good thing for those "fast moves". With an analog signal if there is a drop or interruption, you will see as much of the signal as possible. Equally not as good, but it can be better than nothing at all. Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking High Definition. It's awesome! But I would suggest to you to research a little more and learn what will be best for you. (imho)
