Crashed My HK Hawker Tempest on Maiden

Seems that I didn't have enough power on my maiden with the HobbyKing Hawker Tempest and I stalled, wing dipped at around 6 feet off the ground and it hit nose first. Now the engine/prop seems loose and something is certainly amiss. I need to remove the engine and possibly replace it. Anybody have any experience with this model and have suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

I don’t have any experience with this plane but I’ve seen many pilots make the same mistake you did. Taking off with not enough power.

As the plane comes off the ground, gaining altitude requires power. Imagine pushing something up an incline, to move higher it takes power. A plane gaining altitude is just like push something up an incline, if you don’t have enough power the plane slows. If it slows too much, one wing will lose lift and stall. Your plane will drop out of the air.

Next time use more power.
