I have assembled my FT Bronco and am now discovering potential FAA certs and what not to fly. Is this true? Will I need to take the TRUST course and get a Remote Id?

Yup, TRUST is basically impossible to fail (They let you keep answering questions until you get it right) then you need to get your RID and then go to the FAA website, and register what aircraft you have (that's $5) and your RID ID and then you are good to go
$5 for your entire fleet for 3 yrs unless you are doing commercial work...then it goes up...Really, if you are flying in your back yard I don't think you would get in trouble if you didn't use RID and register it as long as you aren't causing damage or being a nuisance.
