Glad you peeled the paper back and it looks clean. Some of my results (pre air assist) looked good with the paper on, but horrendous under the paper.

Looks like I;ve figured out how to use the laser gerbil I mean lasergrbl. 🤣 And yes, my piece of cardboard wasn’t big enough 😂

Need to tweak my settings for foam a bit (this is without air assist, because I forgot to turn the pump on 🤣) but not bad at all!

Update: I’ve been tinkering on it off and on lately. The inclosure is getting annoying, as it needs to be so big for the laser to cut a sheet of foam board, And at first I made it a tad small, so the laser would bump it, making it think it was somewhere farther forward than it actually was. I did finally get that figured out, but the ventilation is annoying, as I have to; open the garage door, take the shop vac out, rout the hose, plug it in, then shut the garage door, then start cutting.

I’m seriously considering turning it into a needle cutter, (I wonder if the plug for the laser, would also work to control a servo for the z axis… @LitterBug ?)
